Noctem 9 is a pubnix — a shared, public computer for personal pages, shell use, and small experiments. It is not Linux: it runs 9front, a living fork of Bell Labs' Plan 9. No feeds, no algorithms, no endless scroll — just files, text, and a little room to keep things by hand.

You reach Noctem 9 with drawterm, which opens a real Plan 9 screen on your machine. Get it from drawterm.9front.org, then run:
drawterm -h noctem9.cafe -a noctem9.cafe -u yourname
Type your password at the dp9ik password: prompt, then right-click the desktop
and choose New for a shell. Welcome.
